GREAT NEWS – FROM THE 1st February 2024 - HOMEOWNERS CAN ENJOY 0% VAT ON RETROFITTED BATTERY STORAGE

Previously, if you wanted to add batteries to your solar panel system you had to pay 20% VAT.

The day has finally come and after much lobbying from the UK solar and storage industry, you can now get battery storage fitted to your existing solar panel array, all supplied and installed at 0% VAT.

As batteries still represent a sizeable investment, having to pay 20% VAT often resulted in large VAT payments of £100s, even over £1,000.

Fortunately, the government has now seen the light, the law has changed, and you can now proceed with retrofitted battery storage at a much lower cost.

If you don’t yet have solar panels, you can still get both solar and battery storage installed at the same time, all at 0% VAT as before.
